AN/PVS-7 MILSPEC Single Tube Night Vision Goggle

Call around and then call (702) 324-6463 or email sales@nitevis.com with your best price

Central Contractor and ORCA Registered as a Veteran Owned Small Business.                      Dealers/Resellers Welcome
CAGE Code: 36BD2

MILSPEC Kits Include: Headmount Assembly, MILSPEC 27mm Objective Lens,  2 Rubber Eyecups, 2 AA Batteries, Operator's Manual, Soft Carrying Case, Daylight Lens Cover, Integrated IR LED, Lens Cleaning Tissue, 2 Demist Shields, Sacrificial Filter, Shoulder Strap

The AN/PVS-7 is engineered to meet MIL-SPEC requirements and standards. The rugged and reliable design ideally accommodates users for extended wear and superior surveillance functions. This NV goggle has an integrated IR illuminator with an IR “on” indicator, low battery indicator, excess light exposure cut-off sensor and other features. The model is based on the most advanced image intensifiers, with 64-72 lp/mm and a Figure of Merit of no less than 1600.

The  AN/PVS-7 (ITT5001 Series PVS-7B) uses a MILSPEC PVS-7 housing and incorporates the new GEN III image intensifier tube. With the use of a single  image tube (Multiple Grades to choose from) and a dual eye configuration, the AN/PVS-7 provides outstanding Night Vision performance without the high cost of the Dual tube configuration.

It features simple user controls and fully automated image tube protection. This system allows the user to have complete freedom of movement while maintaining equilibrium and balance in a hands free application. The AN/PVS-7  also incorporates an infrared illuminator with a momentary and continuous on switching function. Infrared operation and low battery indicators are displayed within the user‘s field of view.

Interpupillary adjustment (distance between eyes) can be made as well as an Objective Lens Focus. With the separate Diopter adjustment rings (left/right eye focus) users get unparalleled comfort and optimum vision. Intricate tasks "close work" such as reading and repair are facilitated using the infrared LED on the body of the goggle.

Optional accessories include a 3x or 5x magnifier lens to facilitate field conversion for long-range observation/surveillance. Infrared Spot Lights covertly illuminate large areas for the Night Vision, just as regular Spotlights do for visible enhancement. Flashing Beacons create an infrared/visible signal to mark shorelines for Boaters  or campsites for Hikers & Hunters. For Security Details, the Beacons can be carried in a pocket to keep your client covertly marked, even in large crowds at night.  The slip-on Magnetic Compass provides directional information in the field of view.

These are the choice for many Law Enforcement Agencies, Homeland Security Teams, Fire Departments  and Private Security Firms because of their battle proven effectiveness with our own US Military.

    This
"Top-of-the-Line" Full MILSPEC
AN/PVS-7 Goggle Kit from KERIF Night Vision uses only the highest quality L-3 or ITT Image Tubes, Optical Lenses, Housing Components and Electronics on the market today. Electro-Optical tools designed specifically to meet the diverse demands of our rugged Military and Law Enforcement Professionals. Like buying a car, you have many features like engine, transmission, and suspension that can make it a stock model or a high performance machine. With little differences on the outside to discern between the good, bad & the ugly, you have to read & understand the build sheet or take the salesman's word for it. We give you the Factory Data Sheet and in some instances, let you take a test drive.
Differences like the clarity of the optical lenses versus just glass; whether the components used in the power supply & electronics package are made in the US or overseas or if they are new or used; whether you want the housing made in the USA that meets MILSPEC standards with rubber seals that keep the water out without worry, or something made in China that you wouldn't want to splash with water; you want to be sure that when using your Helmet Mount, the housing has brass screws (not plastic or other cheap metal) to automatically turn the unit On/Off, saving your batteries and reducing the step of turning it back on in an emergency.

Larger differences like the tubes (engines) can be selected to meet your needs, and with our access to virtually every system available, we will do our best to meet or exceed your expectations, without breaking your budget. Just like a car, even if you have a big block with ungodly horsepower, you still have to have other components designed to match it's performance potential. You wouldn't put an Indy Car Race Engine in a Yugo, yet some manufacturers do just that to gain the competitive pricing edge and you are the one stuck wondering why you didn't call us.

Let's talk about some of the uses of the
AN/PVS-7 Goggle. The most common use is as a hand-held goggle and is used for walking, driving & area surveillance.
TIP: Tests have shown that it can take up to 30 minutes for your eyes to assimilate to the darkness once exposed to light, and the bright green image produced will affect your vision. Features of the PVS-7 style Goggle include Automatic Brightness Control and Bright Source Protection function to automatically adjust the image for you to see it properly.

Because both eyes are stimulated with a bright green image that can't be adjusted beyond what the Automatic Brightness Control and Bright Source protection offers, when the goggles are removed or if the batteries drain, you may have difficulty seeing anything for several minutes. If you anticipate driving, walking, or engaging in CQB operations, we recommend looking at the PVS-14 Monoculars or a Dual-Tube System. Aviation Goggles offer a Dual-Tube Configuration and are tested & certified by the FAA every 180 days to ensure proper operation.

For prolonged use, a Headmount can be priceless. By using the chin straps and head straps, each unit allows for vertical & fore-and-aft adjustments for either left or right eye. For clear images, the objective lens and eyepiece (Diopter) focus for various levels of vision enhancement.
Automatic Brightness Control and Bright Source Protection are standard
.

The PVS-7 is also equipped with a built-in infrared light-emitting source to help in low light situations. Don't overlook the importance of having additional Infrared Lights to enhance the visibility of longer ranged targets, covertly light up dark overhangs and blind corners, and even mark positions, vehicles, personnel and other points of interest by using field programmable beacons.
Lights that are weapons Mountable, like the Surefire Vampire and others can be outfitted with IR Filters and pressure switches.

For Hand-Held use, you can attach a 3X Afocal Magnifier to increase your recognition and detection ranges. When you increase the magnification, you also decrease the available 40˚FOV (Field-of-View) down to a 13˚FOV, which equates to 1/3 of the PVS-7's capabilities. The 5X Afocal Magnifier reduces the FOV to 7.7˚(1/5 of the image), so you have to have a steady hand, a resting spot or a Tripod to fix on an object.

TIP: They are NOT recommended for use with Head/Helmet Mount applications because of the weight.

Magnifiers usually include a Slip-On Adapter that allows you to quickly install them on the objective end and remove it instantly when necessary.

TIP: If you aren't going to be standing still or making moderate movements, we recommend you thread the magnifier into the objective to prevent it from accidentally falling off and breaking.
Both magnifiers are interchangeable with PVS-14 Goggles.
