CERE-25 Encoder for IR-25 Phoenix Beacon - 2 Channel

THE CERE-25 PHOENIX 2.5 PROGRAM CONTROLLER is a tool for operators and support technicians. It is used to encode one or more IR-25 Phoenix 2.5 Beacons with speed and precision. To operate, an IR-25 beacon is attached to the Program Controller and electronically loaded with a designated code. Once installed, the code is transferred into the beacon’s memory until reset with the Program Controller.

SMALL AND LIGHTWEIGHT the CERE-25 Phoenix 2.5 Program Controller is easily transported, stored and operated. Powered by a common 9-volt battery the encoder is easily mastered by novice operators. In the field a team member can quickly install an authentication code a few hours before the planned event. When needed the beacon is activated and begins transmitting the IFF code.

THE CERE-25 PHOENIX 2.5 PROGRAM CONTROLLER is the ideal way to accurately preprogram the IR-25 Phoenix 2.5 prior to a mission. Using the controller ensures that the all the beacons for the mission have the correct and precisely the same code. The additional advantage is that the preprogramming can be done in a lower stress situation by a technician making it less likely to have mission stress-induced errors.

AVIATOR’S FLY EVERY DAY AND NIGHT IN SUPPORT OF COMBAT OPERATIONS. Unfortunately, some are downed in hostile territory. In these cases, rescue forces are dispatched to search and recover the downed airmen. By using the Program Controller to program a fleet of IR-25 Phoenix 2.5 Beacons, when activated, the they will automatically begin transmitting the code-of-the-day, a code entered by a life support specialist hours before launch.

PREPLANNED IDENTIFICATION FRIEND OR FOE (IFF) FOR NIGHT RENDEZVOUS – The covert IR-25 Phoenix 2.5 Beacon is a perfect choice for night signaling and authentication. Special operations teams often rendezvous in the field at night, using only preplanned flashing codes for authentication and identification. The infrared IR-25 Phoenix 2.5 is a perfect choice. When needed, it begins flashing the installed code as soon as a battery is connected.
