KNVIR-35
Synchro IR Encodable Beacon 3-Channel
(6 sec -48ppm-Standby)
THE KNVIR-35 IS AN ENHANCED PERSONAL MARKER FOR
COVERT OPERATIONS. Also known as the Pegasus 2, the infrared (IR) marker is
typically used in night vision operations were detection is denied to those
without Night Vision devices (NVD).
Manufactured as a covert marker for personnel or equipment, it is the same
physical size and weight and constructed similar to the original Phoenix
units. With its three channels, the IR-35
offers a variety of combinations for covert signaling, as opposed to the
KNVIR-15 (1-Channel) and the
KNVIR-25 (2-Channels).
COVERT SIGNALING IN COMBAT OPERATIONS sometimes requires the rapid selection
of several different codes or signal sequences. The
KNVIR-35 offers two factory preset channels and one user installed
channel. The selection between the channels can be done rapidly, using only
a coin to make the switch. Thus there is a channel for the Unit, the Team
and an Individual identification can be rapidly selected by the operator.
THE KNVIR-35 OFFERS
IMPROVED FEATURES
The
KNVIR-35 has three channels; one for a
user-installed eight-second code and two for factory installed codes.
The standard factory installed codes are:
1. A constant flash rate similar to the KNVIR-14 Phoenix Junior
2. International Morse Code signal S - O - S. Channel changes and
user-channel coding are accomplished by shorting the pins on the top of the
beacon. A key feature of the KNVIR-35 Beacon is
the nonvolatile memory, meaning the codes in all channels are retained when
power is removed and reapplied. When power is reapplied, the
KNVIR-35 defaults to the last operating channel
and code.
SPECIFICATIONS

Size: 1.125" x 0.875" x 0.625"
Battery: Common 9 volt
Channels: Three
Channel 1 Factory Program: Constant flash
Channel 2 Factory Program: S – O – S
Channel 3. User Program: eight second memory

Operating depth: the battery contact is exposed however if immersed the unit
will continue to operate until the battery contacts fail due to water and
electrolytic corrosion. Given these conditions the depth limitation is
solely determined by the battery’s ability to withstand depth.
