The PVS-14
Night Vision Monocular is a hand-held pocket scope or can be head-mounted using
either left or right eye. Optional Accessories allow the monocular to be
Helmet-Mounted, Camera or Camcorder Mounted.
When used as a Night Weapon Sight, attaching an
Aimpoint CompM2 or M3 Red Dot Sight
to your rifle adds greater accuracy and versatility by allowing the user
to head mount the Monocular for continual visual enhancement and approach the
sight as necessary. This versatile Night Vision System enables walking,
driving, weapon firing*, short-range surveillance
and map reading. Each unit allows for Vertical & Fore/Aft adjustments (Headstraps),
Objective Lens Focus and Eyepiece Focus for various levels of vision
enhancement.
Automatic Brightness Control and Bright Source
Protection are standard. The device is also equipped with an infrared
light-emitting source and the variable gain control allows the user to increase
or decrease image brightness for best possible contrast. Higher magnification
lenses (3X or 5X Afocal) can be attached for even greater range.
Long range infrared spotlights
offer a significant boost in recognition range without detection.
Model PVS-6015 provides
all the functions of the PVS14 except for variable gain control. This device is
also available in other tube classifications and configurations.

*Mounting directly onto large caliber weapons (up to .50 cal) is only recommended for the full MILSPEC PVS-14D. Recoil may cause blooming spots to appear in lesser grades.
