The HelmetIR is a Small, Lightweight, "Top-of-the-Shelf" military helmet mounted Thermal Imager. Unlike image intensified night observation devices, this thermal imager can see in total darkness, through battlefield obscurants and foliage. It incorporates Digital Signal Processing with Integrated Compact Optics and rugged packaging with attention to ergonomic detail.

The HelmetIR quickly attaches to the Standard Flip-up Helmet Mount (A3256368) (Specify whether Mich or PASGT) used with Standard Night Vision Goggles. This system can be easily interchanged between team members equipped with Helmet-Mounted NVGs.
